Adoptive Family Lodging

Each room is tailored to the unique needs of your family and can be outfitted with a combination of queen, twin, and/or crib(s) depending on the ages of your children. Most adoptive family rooms share a full bathroom with one other room. However, with our highly attentive staff, fresh towels and spotless bathrooms are paramount. One fee covers all guests in the room, as well as breakfast and a lite lunch. Furthermore a complementary one-hour massage is given to all adoptive parents and/or adults in your party. Adoptive Family Lodging rooms are $85 per night with a five night minimum length of stay.

Adoptive Family Lodging (smaller room with private bath)

For smaller families, this option works out fantastic.  While the room itself is smaller, it can still accommodate a double bed and a bunk bed or a double bed and a crib (depending on the needs of your family).  The bathroom for this room is not shared with any other guests.  As a result, if your family (and/or those of you who happen to be traveling are small in number, you’ll receive a great bargain on this room without the higher cost of the suite.  The Adoptive Family Lodging (smaller room with private bath) is $99 per night with a five night minimum length of stay.

Adoptive Family Suite

The Suite has its own luxury bath and sauna. While sharing a restroom has never been an area of complaint from our guests, it has been a concern prior to staying with us. For those that would prefer a private bathroom, the Adoptive Family Suite is the route to go. One fee covers all guests in the room, as well as breakfast and a lite lunch. Furthermore a complementary one-hour massage is given to all adoptive parents and/or adults in your party. The Adoptive Family Suite is $125 per night with a five night minimum length of stay.

Nathaniel Adoptive Suite

The Nathaniel Suite is the largest suite with its own bathroom and a full size, private kitchen with seating for six. One fee covers all guests, as well as breakfast and a lite lunch. Furthermore a complementary one-hour massage is given to all adoptive parents and/or adults in your party. The Nathaniel Adoptive Family Suite is $145 per night with a five night minimum length of stay.

Adoptive Family Deluxe Two-Room Suite

The Deluxe Two-Room Suite is perfect for larger families.  With a spacious living room, two smaller bed rooms, kitchen and bathroom, families have the space to relax and enjoy family time together.  The deluxe suite allows families the option of enjoying a private living room, or connecting with other families in the living room in the common area of the home.  The two bedrooms are smaller, yet provide a touch of additional privacy.  The beds in the bedrooms are configured to meet the specific needs of each family.  Typical bed configuration is one queen, two bunks (four twins), and a crib when needed.  Feel free to call or write in advance with any questions regarding the number of people in your party and the bed configuration.  One fee covers all guests in the deluxe suite, as well as breakfast and a lite lunch.  Furthermore, a complementary one-hour massage is given to all adults staying with us.  The Deluxe Two-Room Suite is $175 per night with a five night minimum stay.

Entire Fourth Floor

Often extended family is able to travel with adoptive parents and the fourth floor of Ethiopia Guest Home provides the perfect solution. With two rooms, a full bathroom, and a private living room, it allows extended family and/or large families the privacy of their own room with the feel of home in the private living room. One fee covers all guests on the fourth floor, as well as breakfast and a lite lunch. Furthermore a complementary one-hour massage is given to all adults staying with us. The Entire Fourth Floor is $195 per night with a five night minimum stay.

Volunteer Lodging

We host volunteer teams throughout the year and are prepared to help with as much or as little help as may be needed. Rates are $40 per person/per night for teams of less than 20. Groups of 20 or more receive a discount bringing the cost down to $35 per person/per night. Rates include breakfast, a boxed-lunch to eat onsite at the project/ministry/orphanage that the group may be working at. Additionally, all translators and guides are included at no extra cost. Lastly, as volunteers are putting in hard work, we have now made available, one hour, complimentary massage to those who choose to enjoy that when and if the team schedule permits. While most teams stay 8 to 12 nights, we do require a minimum of five nights for Volunteer teams to allow us to tailor the home to the needs of the group while staying with us.

Check in/Check out…Deposit and Charges

Check out time is 10:00 am, Check in time is 12:00 pm. Early check-in is possible when/if your room is available. Please provide your flight information when booking online if transportation to and from the airport is needed. A non-refundable $100 deposit ($200 deposit for the entire fourth floor) is required when booking the reservation, and will be applied to your total.

The total amount for lodging and in country expenses will be charged to your credit card on file 1-7 days after your check out date. If your flight arrives prior to 7:00 am local time (ex: 3:00 am), you will be charged for the previous night's lodging. As most flights depart late in the evening, late check out is available. The fee for late check out is half of one night's stay...which varies depending on the room you are in: ($42.50, $49.50, $62.50, $72.50, $77.50, $87.50, $97.50).

There is a $25 fee for high speed Internet service which we are pleased to be able to provide as it is very rare in Ethiopia. We have the fastest possible way to connect to the Internet in Ethiopia. Other four star hotels charge $15 USD per hour to access the Internet with the same speed. The onetime fee of $25 helps offset the high cost of providing high speed Internet. However, due to factors beyond our control, there are times in which the Internet is not accessible in Ethiopia, regardless of the ability to access it. While we will make every possible effort to keep connected to the Internet, refunds cannot be given due to the sporadic nature of the Internet in Ethiopia.

As you make your reservation online by clicking the Make a Reservation button and following the prompts, your total…including all applicable taxes will be provided.

Dinners

Gourmet California-Style Pizzas, Pasta dishes, and 100% organic, family style meals await you for only $5 per person. There is no charge for children age 5 and under.

Water

One liter of water is provided per day. Additional bottles of water can be purchased for a small fee.

Laundry

Same day laundry services are available in the home for minimal cost (between 40 cents and 80 cents). This allows you to take your entire wardrobe home clean and fresh…one less thing to worry about as you settle in back home.

Tours/Drivers/Translators

Half day excusions start at a rate of $40. Full day excursions start at $60. Both include van rental, driver, and one of our translators. Gas prices vary in-country.

Massage

Every Adoptive Parent in addition to any adults traveling with parents receive a complimentary one-hour professional massage. Additional massages may be scheduled in-country at a rate of just $20 hour.

Emergency Medical Insurance

Trip insurance is available at a rate of $4.50 per day/per person when booking online and is provided by Seven Corners International Travel Medical Insurance. Coverage includes $100,000 Medical Maximum per person with a $250 deductible, Hospital Indemnity of $150 per night, Dental (Emergency $100 and/or $500 for accident), Emergency Medical Evacuation of $300,000 (in addition to the Medical Maximum), Emergency Reunion of $50,000, Interruption of trip of $5,000, Loss of luggage of $250, Local Ambulance of $5,000, Accidental death & dismemberment of $25,000. Travel insurance is not required, yet is provided as an additional service to our guests.
